While breaking down and cleaning my FPC today I noticed at one point that the firing pin was partially out of the bolt. It looks like the pin that holds it in place fell out. (I'm assuming this pin is similar to the one that holds the extractor in place). I didn't take the pin out on my own, at least not intentionally. I looked for it everywhere but simply can't find it. Now I can't reassemble the weapon.

I will call Smith in the morning but am wondering who, if anyone, sells these small pins besides S&W.

For anyone who cares, I did call Smith and they sent both a replacement firing pin retaining pin and a firing pin. Came after 3 weeks or so. In an amusing side note, I did find the missing firing pin retaining pin. It had fallen directly into my gun parts drawer. What a well-trained pin, it knew where home is.
