A very impressive video. More torture testing than a normal FPC will see in three lifetimes. The ability of the optic to hold POI after those drop tests was incredible.

If S&W made one like this in .45 acp I'd get it too.

I have to laugh at these kinds of tests. I put as much stock in these "torture" tests as I do people shooting into a Jello to say how good a bullet is. I never assumed that the Seal Teams would be using this PCC. It is a plinker and a good defensive PCC. Good for home and for a vehicle. Not sure it would be the best as a ranch gun and definity not a military weapon

That's the reason I bought it. It's good for home and a vehicle, and suitable for the landscape in which I live.

It's not a military weapon but I don't recall hearing anyone make that claim.

Right, no one made that claim. So why are they putting it through a torture test like it is one. I have one and love it. I am not going to throw it around to see what it can take. My point was the test was useless. You either like it or you don't.

He threw it around so you don't have to. Liking a firearm is not the same as seeing the amount of abuse it can take and still function.

A test like that gives me confidence that it's well-made and will be fairly impervious to whatever I can dish out in normal use, and should I drop it, it stands up.

For me, that makes his test worthwhile.

Exactly. I treat all my firearms with care but it's nice to know that if something happens, the gun won't become inoperative. While people may look down upon such tests, tests like this can show weak points and from what his video shows, it looks as if the FPC has none to speak of.

Very well done video, he certainly pointed out the strengths of the FPC.
Mine has a 1x Primary Arms prism sight on it and will put three rounds into a nickle at 25 yards.

After now 550 rounds, it's not missed a beat yet. Hides easily in a gun sock under the passenger seat of my SUV. If someone steals it, I'm out less than $1k.

These "torture tests" are fairly common on the YouTube, and I HATE to see a firearm treated that way. Taking good care of all my mechanical items (particularly guns) was drilled into me from age 5. However, that being said, I was impressed at how well the S&W FPC stood up to the abuse. As the tester said, the FPC is durable enough to be considered for self defense instead of just as a range toy oddity.

I watched a u tuber buy a new Glock 19 and add a red dot to it. He then proceeded to tie said 19 to his truck bumper and drag it down a gravel road for half a mile. Total stupidity is my thought.
