What have you put on your FPC I got one a couple weeks ago but haven't shot it yet I am looking to mount a red dot and flip up's sights and would like a fore end grip anybody have one accessorize yet I would like to see it if you do.

I have had mine several weeks and love the platform. Mine functions flawlessly. No fireing pin issues (yet). I mounted a rechargeable light/green laser combo. Flip up sights and a cheap red/green/blue dot sight. Super fun carbine!! I have put my Mechtech 40s/w away for awhile.

Mine had a hammer reset issue and I sent it back because I could not find in the manual how to get the trigger / hammer reset. For mine when it comes back I purchased a Primary Arms SLX 1x in green due to astigmatism which makes red dots 'bloom / halo' with my vision. I have a Solofish SL-1131 flashlight / green laser combo for the mLok rails and a Dead Air Key Micro Brake - 1/2x28 - DA109. I will probably add a sling mount to buttstock and maybe some grip tape or nonslip rubber to buttsock when it comes back. I could not find out how to reset hammer in the manual or online so I ended sending it back in probably for 'nothing' but I couldn't fix on my own.

I'm clueless here -- what kind of mount goes in the buttstock? Is the hole essentially a QD sling mount point?

Did your FPC develop a "hammer reset issue" after being field stripped and reassembled?

I replaced a cheap red dot with a Aimpoint Comp M2. I also added a LaserMax laser to the gun.

I have only had the FPC for a few weeks but so far it has had no problems with 200+ rounds sent down range.

Same thing happened to mine after taking it apart to clean it. You would think they would put something in the manual about not pulling the trigger when the bolt is out. mine is at Smith and Wesson right now while they have it I hope they address the firing pin issue.

I'm asking out of genuine curiousity; why would you want to pull the trigger if the bolt was out of the gun?

Edited: Looked at the online manual for the FPC on the S&W website. page 31 warns not to fire the gun with the bolt out. Maybe they've added that recently because of these problems?

I can only speak for myself, but I hit the trigger by accident. I read my manual from front to back and it didn’t mention it at all like you said they probably realize it when people were sending their guns back and decided to post it online.
