Would be great to see close-up side-by-side photos with the original. I like Francolini's "Pratt & Whitney logo" gun a lot, too.

Good luck to you.

Thanks guys.....I will try to get some pics side by side for comparison when more of it is engraved, I'm sure I can't get it exact(Being a Francolini and all)...but, I shall try;)

Can't wait to see the progress and finish. Very fine talented work!:)

Wayne, are you using a chasing hammer & chisel, gravermeister, gravermax, or some modern equivalent? Your work is VERY IMPRESSIVE! John

Please accept my encouragement to continue and know your efforts are sterling.

Translated into Texan DAYUM that's purdy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember seeing the original in a write up of an old American Handgunner or similar magazine.
Didn't it have bullets engraved with a vampire face too?

Is Leonard Francolini still living? How old is the Colt that he did? What substance are the grips on it?

Wayne, this has to be one of your better projects. :) Thanks for posting. I always enjoy seeing your work.

Wow Wayne, Thanks for sharing the finished
product pictures. Never seen one with the
end of the muzzle engraved also.
Beautiful work. A true craftsman.

Chuck

Wayne, very nicely done!

T-Star, Francolini was alive as of three or four years ago. I know because he turned me down for a project I had in mind. No hard feelings here as the guy has certainly earned the right to pick what jobs he wants to do.:)
