Freind Accidently Shoots Self With .44 Magnum. Saved By Pocket Knife

I can see this with the Ruger SA, but not a DA Smith.

...and plenty of holsters don't have a safety strap...whether they should or not.

Seems like a gun with an 8 3/8" barrel in a hip holster would have placed the muzzle low enough that it would have been unlikely to hit a pocket-knife......but stranger things have happened.

Kinda what I was thinking, that would need to be a deep pocket or cargo pants with the knife in the lower pocket.

When I was a kid, there was a guy that worked for us, everyone called him "hard head." Seems one night he and his live-in girlfriend/wife/etc got into one helluva fight in their trailer, in the heat of moment she grabbed his .44 Magnum and squeezed off a shot that grazed his head. After that he was known as hard head.
