Welcome.

All of the Victory Models were made between 1942-1945. The vast majority of them were 5" guns in .38 S&W (also called .38/200 or .38 British) made for Great Britain and Canada. The guns made for use in the United States generally had 4" barrels and were in .38 Special which is more common in America.

I would guess that your gun was made in 1943 or 1944. You can request the exact shipping date and destination by down-loading the request form from the S&W web site and sending it with $30 (US).

A couple members here have been compiling a database on Victory Models and maybe one of them will come along with more specific info.

Ivan,

Steve (Etienne)
