Well, I have on the way a no dash S&W Model 4516 with three mags off Gunbroker through the generosity of a fellow S&W addicted friend.

How did this happen you might ask? We got to talking about guns a few weeks back and he said "hey, what you in the mood for Christmas?" I mentioned a 4516 would be something I'd hunt down and eventually buy for myself to round out the .45 ACP collection.

Next thing I know, he tells me "Merry Christmas, just won this at auction. Now you don't need to hunt it down."

Once in a while, reasonably priced S&W magazines show up on eBay. Before and during the panicdemic, I picked up a couple more 39/x39 and 645/45xx magazines for reasonable amounts of money.

Turns out I ain't getting the no-dash 4516. My buddy liked it so much, he kept it for himself. Instead, he went and got me a 4516-1 and said it is gift wrapped and ready for pick-up. This is what he got me as a gift.

I got to him a nice bottle of something as a thank you.

You're lucky to have A good pal like that ! congrats are your dash-1! I was able to find a good no dash a couple months ago in brand new condition. I was so excited even though I had to buy it for myself hahaha
