A little over 3 years ago, my wife and I were fortunate to have our first grandchild.....and it too was a boy.
By the time his first Christmas rolled around (about 3 months), I had picked him up a Springfield XD9. I didn't feel it wise to start him on an XD45.
When I told his mother about it, she delivers me a "Dad, he isn't even 3 months old yet."
I told here to relax......he wasn't getting any ammo until his first birthday.

Thanxs so much for the congrats and words of wisdom, it is truely appreciated.. This forum just keeps amazing me when it pulls together in good times(like now) and bad (brett breaking his reciever)
and even a lot worse.. We as parents to be really went into the docs office with only one thing in mind "please be healthy" and to be honest neither of us had a preference as to what the sex would be. I had even told my wife if it was a girl id order the pink duracoat that after noon( can we see a hello kitty suppressed 15-22 starting to come together) but now that its a boy the color choices are limitless... and my ffl allready has the 15- 22 on order
