I know she wasn't as talented as the current crop?
And the Bacharach/David song writing sucked.
The arrangements and orchestrations also blew.
Difficult to see how we were able to muddle through our high school years, what with stuff like this bombarding us...

Yea man, give me da rap! :(

My wife heard this playing and starting singing with her. We enjoyed that nasty, poor quality music. Thanks for the memories.

Real class and talent.

Did you know she's Whitney Houston's first cousin?

There is quite an interesting story behind the group 'Boston'. The founder of the group grew up around 50 miles north of me near Toledo, Ohio, and got his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from MIT in electrical engineering, IIRC. He worked at Polaroid(again, IIRC) for awhile and had a few patents to his name. He was so sharp at this kind of thing that he was able to produce nearly the entire first album of 'Boston'(the second best selling album in history, I understand) with only himself playing all the guitar parts, Brad Delp providing all the vocal parts(an amazing tenor voice), a drummer, and the sophisticated sound equipment he had developed. And they did nearly the whole thing in the founder's basement.

Pardon me for encouraging thread drift. I didn't care for Dionne Warwick's voice or songs, but that's just my taste. My favorite black female singer was Marilyn McCoo(can't remember the group she sang with).

And I don't want to see any Rick Astley 'Rick Rolling' here now, dammit.

Bad enough my wife does that to me once every week or two and laughs her head off.

Marilyn was the lead for the 5th Dimension. She sang Up, Up, and Away, and Wedding Bell Blues, among others. She left the group and went with Billy Davis to form a duo in 1975. She has also acted in films, TV, and also on stage.

I hope that helps,

Frank

Thanks Barb!
I had no idea they were Cousin's?
Knowing that, explains the physical appearance and talent of the two.

117,
I recall a few Rockford Files episodes where the Gandolph Fitch character (Isaac Hayes) who in the plot line had done time with Garner's character was looking for his lost love "Thea". The character Thea was played by Dionne Warwick.

That song reminds me of high school days and girls.......and more girls.....great times. But then again Wooly Bully reminds me of the same times.

God forbid that someone drags me into the seventies.......at very least drag me past 'em.
