front sight issue

Ok. Bought an SD40-VE the other day and was already considering looking for fiber optic sites but my first time to the range (and on the first shot) the white dot came out of the front site. Has anyone else had this issue and how difficult is it to change the front sight myself?

Your probably the fourth person ive seeen on this forum with the white dot falling off. My rear sight has moved on my SD40VE but no issues with the front sight. Im probably going to get the tru glo sights for mine now.

Well i went to Walmart to get more ammo after an embarrasing attempt to shoot with no markings on the front sight and i painted it in for now with hot yellow fabric paint...but is it difficult to change the front sight? I know the rear dovetail moves but the front seems fixed in place

Mine flew out on my first trip as well, probably within the first 30 shots. I wondered if it was because it was kinda cold out that day, maybe 45 degrees or so... But it seems common so it was bound to happen anyway.

I just bought a couple bottles of acrylic paint and put a few layers in there using a toothpick. I used neon yellow first and I have a neon orange bottle as well (they were 3 bottles for $1). I shot a box through it and its still there!
