Hello, I am new to this forum. I have been shooting for years now, but just recently purchased my own fire arm. I purchased a New Jersey complainant m&p15ORC. I am not a fan of the railed front gas block. Does anyone know where I can get a traditional a2 style front sight? The day I purchased the rifle they only had one rifle compliant with New Jersey gun laws. All help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum!

You should be able to find a sight at Cheaper Than Dirt, MidwayUSA, Brownell's, Palmetto State Armory, Ebay, and there are probably several more sites.

That would work but drilling the taper pin holes will be a PITA, if you can find a clamp on you would be miles ahead. I have one that came off of a Sport that has the taper pin holes drilled in it already, all you would have to do is install and line it up then drill the holes through the barrel.

I've wanted to buy an A.R.M.S. folding front sight...

But could never justify the high cost.:(

I know some of you will ask.... I purchased a boot leg version of the flip up sights, and right after I put them on the gun, the front sight snapped off.... This is my rifle.

The poly sights will not work on a gas block, I guess you found that out. According to what I read if the gas block is level with the receiver rail it will work, it has been a while since I held an OR. But it is a good looking sight
