Frozen, Canned, Packaged Food that is Good

I'm a fan of Amy's Kitchen. I also like Boston Market frozen meals and Marie Callender's family-size pasta bakes. I don't get them too often because of the cost, but I'll usually get some when they're on sale.

Sometimes I get Hormel Vegetarian Chili to put on top of spaghetti.

Mine either. Right now--HEBs has a sale on the big boxed pop trts-two for $5?? or something similar. I almost "bit" but walked away. Anyway--buying 36 of them would take me sevrl months to go through them all. Id wind up giving the majority of them away anyhow.

Now at WM, you can get 48:eek::eek: pop tarts for a sawbuck. I resisted the temptation easily enough.:D

Another vote for Boston Market.

Delimex Beef Tamales- frozen in a box of 6. 'Shredded' beef in hand wrapped corn husks.
I have had better but they were homemade or in a good restaurant. I have had a lot worse in restaurants, especially chain Mexican restaurants, but to us these are pretty good, unless you are in the S.W. We cook ours by steaming in a rice cooker, and serve with either avocado slices or homemade guacamole for a quick dinner.
We get both at Walmart, but the tamales sometimes are out or not there as with many things in that venue.

Frozen Beef Tamales are a favorite of the wife and I! Lately they have become hard to find. We live in the STL area and we used to get Edmonds Frozen Beef Tamales. Anyone know where to get them, or similar?

I used to like Spam until I read the ingredients.

It's a wonder I'm still alive to type this.

Which of the six ingredients do you think are bad? Pork shoulder and ham? Water? If it's salt and sodium nitrite, watch out for the bacon fanatics around here. It must be sugar or modified potato starch. The term modified must mean the potatoes were genetically modified to form that stuff in the can. ;)
