REDUCED, will entertain reasonable offers. Hard to price factory refinished guns so if you have any interest than let me know.
For sale is a couple of FACTORY refinished S&W's. Prices including shipping from FFL to FFL unless not required because of age of gun. Please post an "I'll take it" followed by a PM. Of course, forum rules apply. If you are purchasing discreetly after the obligatory 24 hour period has passed, then please send me a PM stating "I'll take it." I'll accept various forms of payment so just let me know what you would like to do. I'm sorry, but I am unable to do any trades on these pistols.
As for condition please refer to the pictures and read the brief descriptions. I simply don't do percentages on finish because opinions can vary, so please see the attached links to the albums with lots of high quality pictures. Thank you for looking and please let me know if you have questions, especially before committing to buy.
Each of these revolvers is mechanically excellent.
Each gun will have a couple pictures posted in the thread as well as a link to an album with many more pictures to review. PLEASE SEE PICS TO REACH YOUR OWN OPINION ON CONDITION.
1. SPF 44 Hand Ejector in 44 S&W with 5 inch barrel. It was factory refinished in the 70's and the current finish is excellent. I apologize for the dust specks on the finish in these pics. I'm happy to send more if needed. The grips are correct per the letter but not original to the gun, they are unnumbered and also excellent. The letter states that the gun was shipped on Feb 19th, 1930 and delivered to Scott & Moore Co. of Kansas City. It was ordered through Simmons Hardware Co of St. Louis and drop shipped to Scoot & Moore Co. It shipped as a blued 5 inch gun with silver medallion walnut grips. The invoice says it was "Special processed throughout and targeted at 15 yards, trigger pull 4 pounds." I did request more documents through the SWHF a couple years ago but at the time there was no other info available. Regardless, Roy mentions in the letter that the pistol "was an interesting revolver, if we knew more of its history". Maybe the new seller can find out more, but I didn't look too hard myself. Price: $1650 shipped. REDUCED TO $1325. REDUCED AGAIN $1225. SPF
2. SPF Pre-36 Baby Chief. This one was also refinished in the 70's and is also in excellent condition. Only problem with this one is that I don't have any grips for it. It needs the shorter early J frame kind, not the latter ones that are about 2 mm longer. I have not lettered this one but Roy told me it shipped in March 1953. Price: $625. REDUCED TO $525. REDUCED AGAIN $475. SPF
