WITHDRAWN: S&W 28'2, S serial number, original matte blue (but not too dull), 6" barrel, original Magna stocks numbered to gun. Extremely nice condition, bluing is at least 95-98%, with only a very slight turn line and a barely visible sliver of light holster wear at the edge of the muzzle. No dings on the stocks (black washers, numbered to gun). Silky smooth action (often seen in guns of this mid-60s vintage) with perfect timing and lockup. This is the nicest 28 I have seen since I took a new one out of stock from my gun store 8n the 1970s. Reluctantly offered at $1,050, will discount $50 for electronic payment within two days of posting due to an unexpected financial setback. I have sold several guns on the forum in the last year, and can provide contact info for members who have paid via Zelle and discreet Pay pal. Payment by USPS money order (at full price) or electronic payment via Zelle or discrete PayPal (limited time discount. WITHDRAWN.
SPF - UNFIRED Pre-64 Wnchester Model 70, 270 WCF. Built in 1953, this transitional Model 70 was won in a 1953 raffleby a dedicated 30-06 shooter. At that time, it was equipped with a Weaver K5 or K6 scope. The scope was removed and installed on his 1948 M70 in "30 Govt 06" and this rifle was put away in the gun cabinet, only coming out for periodic cleaning and oiling. This rifle even had its original hang tag on the trigger guard. It is absolutely pristine, with only a slight line of bluing marked on the extractor from opening and closing the bolt during clearing and maintenance. It still has its high polish blue Weaver bases installed. Truly a time capsule. Price is $1,850, USPS Money Order, Zelle or discrete PayPal.
BTW, I still have his well used 1948 M70 in 30Govt06, which bears evidence of 60 years of hunts throughout North America. No, it's not for sale, but really contrasts with the condition of this new old rifle.SPF to Nineteen76.
Prices are shipped in continental US, first I'll take it followed by PM please.
