Expecting the arrival of my SD9VE today or tomorrow. I have already ordered an Apex spring kit which I caught on sale through Midway. Now if I could just find a decent fully adjustable rear sight that won't break the bank. Any suggestions would be appreciated so thx in advance for any thoughts you care to share....

Honestly, for the price of this gun, shoot it with the factory sights first.
Why are you replacing it?
Plastic or because of the painted dots?
The factory rear sights are very durable....

dajogeir; It's not the plastic sights so much as the lack of elevation adjustment. Other than having to pick up fired brass that has been the biggest adjustment (no pun intended) from shooting my beloved revolvers. Every one of my revolvers has fully adjustable sights, even my little Charter Arms Pathfinder 22 with it's 3 inch barrel. Hooked on semi autos now so I will just have to deal with it I guess....

Rickster, I say save the money and practice as is.. this will never be a competitive shooting pistol, its a sd and hd gun.

Now....that's not to say you can't be pretty darn accurate.
I shot 3inch groups earlier today @ 10 yards...and I really was letting them fly kinda quick.
I say put at least 300 down range and dry fire it a few dozen times before you change them. Congrats. I may be picking my girl up one tomorrow. She doesn't like the kick of the 40...which I am perfectly fine with.
