While cruising the show on Saturday I came across this 60-7! Lockup and timing is spot on. The gun was all scratched up and the grips were beat to sh!t when I bought it. When I got her home I stripped her down and gave her a good buff job with some Flitz stripped off the flaky grips and steamed out the dings and dents and put a nice oil finish on them. I paid a little more then I wanted to for it but the 60’s are getting hard to find in my neck of the woods and in the end I think she came out rather nice! What do you guys think?

Great job! I had heard of steaming dents out of rifle stocks, but the thought of doing it with revolver stocks never crossed my mind. Thanks for the idea!

Thanks guys. I steam dents and dings out of rifle stocks all the time, it works the same on grips. Wet rag and a hot iron works like a charm! One of the things I love about stainless steel over blue is when it gets scratched up I can buff it right out.
