I just picked up one of the new production "no-lock" bobbed hammer 37-2 airweight j-frames.

I happened to look through the "stuff" packed in the factory box. I am to the point that I rarely even touch that stuff and just put in away.

But -- funny thing -- my new "no lock" 37-2 came with a set of keys for the internal lock! I found that hilarious! Anyone need a set of keys?

Duane - email me ! I have a buddy who bought an IL Smith used and didn't get box, papers, or keys, either

. I'm sure he could use them.

I told him he could get them by calling S&W but he hasn't "gotten around" to it. Thanks !

My new production, no-lock, 642-1 came with a set of keys as well.

Were all the new no-lockers shipped that way?

Cheers,
dan

Greetings Erich,

My new production, no-lock 37-2 purchased during the run of 2006, was shipped WITHOUT keys. Interesting.

I suppose we'll have to start classifying these guns as "lock, no-lock, keys, no-keys"

Mine didn't. I'd like to buy a set if anybody wants to sell theirs.

Mine had keys also. I put them in my range bag. Never know when you will be at the range and someone else will forget theirs or I will need them for something else.

Just like a handcuff key, maybe we should all carry one with our car keys, just in case!

Scarey to consider, but it is possible that the lock actually exists inside but the side plate just does not have the key hole?

Just what I was gonna say, they have locks, but the gun has that "Predator" style optical illusion camoflauge and you can't see it!
