So, I loved Funyuns as a kid. I mean come on, onion flavored rings?! What kid wouldn't love those?! Anyway, I haven't had them in many years. Anyone here still eat them occasionally? I just found out that a guy I've worked with for over three years is the son of the guy who invented Funyuns! How random is that? Apparently, his father worked for Frito Lay for a long time and pitched the idea to the higher-ups in the company. They loved it and ran with it. I guess the rest, as they say, is history. I think I'll make my way to the vending machine...

I absolutely love onions and I eat them in all forms (I like sauteed the least but won’t turn those away either!) to the point where I sometimes imagine if a doctor ORDERED me to cease all onion intake, I’d need therapy.

But I find Funyuns to be just disgusting! :D

Never tried those but I do like the Durkee fried onions and their potato sticks.

I've never heard of Funyuns but I really like onions. I think the only food that is not good with onions is cake or ice cream. Larry

Never heard of Funyuns. I guess they are some sorta snack food?l

Think cheese puffs that are shaped into skinny rings, with onion flavoring instead of cheese flavoring. YUM!

All here, under this roof, like Funyuns.

My granddad would take my mom and her sister on walks in the English countryside in the late 30's. They would stop by a spring for lunch. He carried a knapsack with tin cups and the same food each time. Raw onions, hard cheese and brown bread.

Mom and dad usually had sliced onions with dinner.

These are never far from my table:

I used to eat Funyuns fairly regularly, but took a long hyatus from them. When I tried them again not too long ago, they seemed extremely salty. Not sure if they changed anything, or maybe I am just getting old...

My son loves them. We’re taking a road trip tomorrow, so I’m sure we’ll be getting some.
