Well,
As I expected June, will be an "income free" zone this year. And I still believe the month of July isn't off the table yet either, for that matter? On the plus side, it's going to allow me to catch up on about 1/2 dozen home projects I've not had the time to get too! Been a LONG time since I've had a summer vacation!

We've been lucky, we've had furlough days in each month Jan.- April so far. Kinda nice to have a three day weekend each month, doesn't hurt much economically and if it helps someone keep from being riffed, what the heck. Furloughed for a month or two is another matter, you don't mention what industry. Auto industry?

For the last 6 I've been doing commercial real estate building engineering work. Too old and tore up to wrench or drive a tractor trailer anymore! Actually it comes at a good time (something unusual for me, good timing!) it'll be the dry season here so I can actually get something done on the house! Lot's of for rent/lease signs on the properties now. Nearly all of the lease holders that had paper that expired in the last 6-8 months, have taken month to month terms. So, with precious little warning poof, no tenant? It's going to be the see through building syndrome of the 80's all over again soon.

I just wish I could be so lucky! I wouldn't even be unhappy if they told me they were tired of my crap and to not let the door hit me in the arse. I'd go with a smile. Bigger smile if they offered me a severance package! Yes, I'd begin my next career. That of a hunter and fisherman.
