FYI on Midway USA ordering

If you need to place an order with Midway USA, I would recommend you do so by phone. Their website is completely screwed as far as placing orders.

I placed an order there yesterday and when I tried to print a receipt, it cancelled my order but charged my credit card. As there was no order shown on my account, I foolishly tried to place the order again. Same result even though the site didn't appear to fail. Again my card was charged.

I called a customer service rep and they supposedly had the problem corrected. Nope. No order. Said customer cancelled. They re-entered the order and said all was well. Nope again. Still charged twice also.

Long story short, I called again and talked to another person with the exact same result as above.

Finally, late in the day I talked to another rep and the order went through but as of this morning I am still double charged on my bank account. I've sent them an email regarding this and will see today if it get resolved.

Good news though as it appears that my order shipped yesterday and I'll have it in a couple of days. Now I just need the bank situation corrected.

Computers - Gotta love 'em.

I too, noticed their website was kinda screwed up when I was doing my daily shopping. Luckily I had ordered everything I wanted over the weekend and didn't run into this. But MAN!! I wish that place would get powder in stock!!! I'm getting a little tired of paying HAZMAT fees for primers from Midway and more HAZMAT fees for powder from Natchez Shooter's Supply. :mad:

Natchez, doesn't sell primers? I've never done business with them so I don't know.
 
Update. Today I got an email notifying me that my order had been shipped. Only problem, the 15.00 discount I received and what was reflected in the original orders wasn't included. I'm sure they will fix it but sometimes you've just got to laugh.

I'm sure they aren't real happy with all this either as I'm sure I'm not the only customer that has had problems with this "system upgrade".

Natchez does indeed sell primers, but they sell them in lots of 1,000 ONLY. I just got a case of 5,000 CCI small pistol primers from Midway for $128.99. That same 5,000 from Natchez would cost me $144.95...quite a substantial difference. But I guess once you tack on the additional HAZMAT charge from ordering off of two different web sites, maybe you'd save money. Haven't put the numbers to it yet.

ETA:
Yeah...despite the primers being more expensive at Natchez, it would be less expensive to order powder AND primers from Natchez than ordering primers for less from Midway and powder from Natchez. I'd save about $13 once you factor in the HAZMAT fee applied on both orders.

Final on this. I got my goodies today, and my bank account has been cleared of the additional charge. I'm going to consider this closed.

I will say again, however, that all the Midway employees I spoke with during this exercise gave me the impression that they were genuinely concerned about my problem. They also appeared to do what they could to correct the computer's foul up.

I'm sure I will do business with them many times in the future. I think I'll wait a bit though so they can get the "upgrade" out of the way. :)
 
I've seen some websites.....

I've seen some websites lately that are ill thought out and give you no status at all. I found out that something I ordered, wasn't ordered. Went back and reordered it, picking my way through the process until I got an acknowledgement that the order was place.
 
I get several emails a day from Midway it seems. And I continue to spend a lot of money there. I like them.
