Hello everyone,

I searched the forums and came up with nothing, if this has been covered before I apologize :)

Does anyone around here know of a custom grip maker that works with G-10? The material seems like a very logical choice, it is more durable than Micarta, takes very well to machining and finishing, and could provide great grip purchase.

I know Hogue produces some G10 grips. I'm not sure but Collins may work with it, also.

I checked the Hogue site earlier and they only make G-10 grips for certain bottom feeders right now. I do have an email inquiry in to Herrett, I'll send one over to Collins.

Thanks!

Well Collins did not really answer my question about whether he would make a set of custom grips and work with the material or not. He simply wrote back "Don't have G-10." I guess he really does not like the stuff or does not want to make me a set of grips. I know it is not that hard to order.

The major problem with working with G-10 is that it's very tough on your tools, and the dust produced has all sorts of health hazards ......

g10 grips

klamathriverwoodworks.com may be the place to go for g10 grips. I'm not sure that they make grips for your particular gun, but they make grips for 1911 and various other automatics as well as revolvers. check out the green g10 grips, in my estimation, they're about the coolest looking grips out there, especially for a stainless steel gun.
