Liddy is, of course, a convicted felon, and thus a "prohibited possessor" of firearms. A caller to his radio show once asked him how he would deal with someone attempting to enter his second floor bedroom window. His response was (paraphrasing here...) "I would sieze Mrs. Liddy's .357 Magnum and give her another lesson in marksmanship..." ?

That's funny, ARS section 13 does not allow handguns et al. in a home/dwelling where a convicted felon (who has not had his/her rights restored) also resides. This would be a Cl. 2 felony in AZ, eh? Had a friend with non-violent felonies whose wife & kids also had to give up (all thier firearms for years, until the third petition for restoration was successful.

Just my experience. Maybe Mr. Liddy knows someone...?

Liddy's full of it. He's a convicted felon and he knows it. His guns are long gone, all the talk of keeping them on the wife's side of the bed is brave talk, but hot air. Having a firearm in the house is "constructive possession" and would land him back in the pokey. I think he is a complete ass, but he is moderately intelligent.

I more than agree about the intelligent part, but since I have no idea what his address is, and I've never been to his home, I can't say with any degree of certainty that his guns are long gone, or that Mrs. Liddy doesn't have them on her side of the bed. I don't think anyone else could say for sure either, unless you've been to his house and looked.

I once heard him voice it somewhat like this..

I no longer own any firearms, BUT...Mrs. Liddy has quite a collection."

Met him at a booksigning several years ago. He's quite a character. Have a shot of he and I shaking hands.

Dedication to Will

Among my prized possessions is a First Edition copy of Will, inscribed with "Best wishes to 'jkc', G.Gordon Liddy" Inside the frontispiece is taped a Polaroid photo of the two of us shaking hands (a "photo op" staged at a political fundraising event). He's a gentleman, and down-to-earth. He's also the unfortunately unheralded author of two excellent novels, The Monkey Handlers, and Out of Control, which I commend to forum members who like action/thriller genre fiction.

Inside one of the first few pages of what had to have been an original copy it was that long ago, was quoted a statement to Liddy from Nixon. It was a bit cryptic w/ just one or two lines I believe and referred to "the Plan"?

Could you post that please?

thanks

Well, as long as we're here, why'd he blast that toilet bowl anyway?! (A fit of pique? Easier than eating than climbing a tree and eating a rat? Because it was there? He thought Jimmy Hoffa was stashed inside?)
