Several years ago I pick up a used SW40VE to use as a range gun and I liked how the gun fit in my hand. The gun had a heavy gritty trigger. But we know that is nothing new when it comes to a Sigma. Did some polishing of trigger parts, dropped the pigtail spring and it help some. But the trigger pull was still heavy, around eight to ten pounds. Never broke the same each time I pulled the trigger. The gun never gave me any problems, just never broke the same each time. After reading about the trigger springs kits I order a Galloway spring set. Dropped it in and did some more polishing on different trigger parts. What a different the spring kit made along with the polishing. The gun is breaking around six pounds on my old trigger pull gauge. Good clean breaks each time and no problems. But the real test will be with some of my reloads and Tula/Wolf primers. If the gun will fire my reloads with the Tula/Wolf primers then it will get upgraded to a truck gun. But it will not replace my Glock 23 as my carry gun. All in all the spring kit was worth the money.

You should also get the Aet trigger, but with reloads and certain ammo with harder primers you may experience light strikes which if you do happen to have switch the strikers spring back to stock.
I cant say much for the sigma ive only had the subcompact model for 3 months 10 years ago and wish the would redo the design again in the same size, it was a great little gun! But If you like the SW-sigma i can only say you would love the SD9/40VE', it may replace your glock like mine did.

the tula/wolf primers are harder that other brands. they are a good test to see if this spring set will work. i have a new bunch of reloads that i used federal primers, i will try them too. if i have lite strikes then i will put the factory striker spring back in.

Yes i thought they were the primers i heard complaints about with the kit, as i have multiple kits i took one of the apex strikers springs and streched it a bit but not enough to make it bend out of wacky when compressed and it stopped the light strikes with my reloads and i still have a light trigger.

took the gun out to the range this week. ran 200 plus rounds down range. both 185 gr fmj and hp ammo duty ammo. no problems with the new trigger spring kit. nice clean break and a six pound trigger pull. nice, nice, nice, well worth the money and the time to put it in. i had my glock 23 and 36 there too. hard to tell much different between the three when it came to trigger pull. the only different is the reset and glock has the best rest. had a co-worker with me and he was shooting his glock 27 backup gun. he ran about 100 more rounds of hp down range in the sigma and stated he is going to get him one for off duty carry and range fun time. all in all this sigma has been the best used gun deal i gotten in years.
