Game cameras are a lot like bows, computers, etc.; the manufacturers are in a constant game of one-upmanship. I have a Moultrie, don't ask me what the model is with 8mp, I know they're already making 10mp & 15-20mp will probably be next year's model. So you can spend a lot of money trying to keep up with the latest & greatest.

Pick one with IR & an IR flash. If you decide you need more than one, make sure you get the same model, this will save you from having to figure out how to operate another version.

Well for me I have found the to be a **** shoot, at least the ones under $100. I have a Moultrie and it has done well so far. I'm a video guys so my only disappointment with the Moulftie is it only has a 10 second video. I have a Stealth that has the ability to set videos from 10 to 180 seconds and has sound. The night IR is great out to about 10', which makes its worthless. Had a Primos that I like but it was sent back 3 times for fixing, I think I got a new one each time, and a some point they got tired of me and said no more. My bride just got one for her son for Christmas, a Browning, for +/- $150 so we are hoping paying more gets more. One positive about the Primos was that it had and internal battery that stored the date and time, the others I spoke of don't and it's a pain when changing batteries to rest everything.
I will say they have become really popular, everybody's getting one these days.
