Friday I got an email from GM advising of a Liquidation Sale before closing the store so I took the short drive to the GM store in Round Rock TX.On the outside of the building were banners and signs declaring 15%-50% sale on the remaining inventory....except guns and ammo that is 10% off.
If someone was interested in a new S&W the 10% combined with the S&W rebate might be attractive but is the final price going to be lower than from Grab a Gun?
The 50% off was mostly on clothing that has been hanging for a few seasons.
I bought a several thousand Federal Primers at $23/1000 and some Winchester powder at 40% off of $30
Everything I saw had full retail price stickers on them so all discounts were off the sticker price.
Even in closing the doors Gander Mountain still can't run a good sale.
I asked what the store will officially close and was told it will be in July or August.
BTW,the GM stores that that are not being closed were bought by Camping World that also bought Overtons.
