Gas system lengths

Hey guys, I'm looking at ordering a hand guard. What is length from the upper receiver to the gas port on a mid length gas system?? Thanks

Eh There are only four lengths, (Pistol, Carbine, Mid-Length and Rifle). If you have a mid-length gas system, buy a mid length handguard. But be aware of what kind of handguard you have now and find something compatible, if not you'll have to install something with a bit more work. Free floats require more time and effort to work on, rather then just snapping guards on and off.

Gas tube length on a carbine is 7.5", mid is 9.5", and rifle is 13".

Actually hand guard lengths are 7, 9 and 12".

Thank you for being the only one who answered my question. I'm building a mid length with a low pro gas block with a 12in Daniel defense full floating hand guard. I'm wanted to see where the gas block would be compared to the end of the hand guard.e
