Before I retired, I used Microsoft Teams extensively. It was a great tool that included chat, group chats, group editing of documents simultaneously, file sharing as well as video calls and conferencing.
Since my team was across the country it was a convenient powerful tool. Our company had an unwritten rule that anytime you were on a conference call your video was to be enabled. Some folks could never adapt to the video calls and conferencing. For some reason they just didn't like the camera being on.
The COVID era advanced remote working adoption at an unprecedented rate. Over the longer term we determined the productivity gains did not remain constant. In fact, we had instances where we found folks working more than 1 remote job simultaneously. To maintain the culture and productivity employees were called back to the office at least 3 days a week.
