I had a spare CZ-452 'Super Exclusive' - LNIB - so I gave it to my pair of grandsons, as well as cleaning supplies, eye & ear protection, and a long enough carry case to carry the 28.8" barrel bolt action in. They had shot my other one around Thanksgiving and liked it better than the scoped shorter barrel CZ-452 I had with me that day. Jack, my older grandson, asked me where they could find ammo, as he heard it was difficult to find, I said, "Look back under the tree!". I had a brick of 550 pack Federal 36gr pHP's and 325 pack of Fed Automatch with their names on them. I told them when they dispatch all of that to come back for more. They were beaming!

I couldn't stand to see my sons look sad - so I gave each of them A Salt guns. They both went from sad to happy as they opened what at first look was a new type of 'super soaker' water carbine. After reading the boxes, they found that the 'Bug-A-Salt' carbines were real, sort of, and likely wouldn't hurt anything but a fly as it would yield fifty shots from one spoonful of table salt! They raided my pantry for salt then retreated outdoors in search of 'targets' - hard to find even in Alabama around Christmas. All grins... a great family Christmas.

My grandsons other grandfather lives in the country and promised them some 'out back' shooting time - no reports as yet. If you haven't heard of the 'Bug-A-Salt' gun, google it!

Happy New Year!

Yep, M.G., a magical year for our AU Tigers. War Eagle, indeed!

OT - My wife, a Bama fan, had her family and friends over for her birthday/Iron Bowl party. Twenty-two Bama fans against me and a guy's wife - two Auburn fans. There were tears aplenty after that last second... mine included - I laughed so hard I nearly soiled myself! War Eagle!!
