GECO ammunition

Since I never heard of this brand before I figured I better ask here. For range ammunition only, because I use Hornady, Winchester, or Remington for my carry guns - is the GECO 9mm range ammunition worth buying at any price?

Just be aware that some GECO marketed 9mm ammo has a steel core and some indoor ranges will not allow it. Same goes for facilities that shoot steel targets.

Its quality ammo. Highly regarded in Europe. Have used it in the past with complete satisfaction. Some of their ammo uses a steel inner jacket, but it is lead core. Check out the link to their web site.

I've shot a fair amount and never had any problems.

It's good ammunition. I have been using it in 9mm and .45 ACP.

Even won some medals competing with it.

Alright. So I will just say this. It's accurate, reliable an clean burning.

They seem to have the hottest .38 Super that I can find...but I've used several calibers without any issues.

GECO is made by the RUAG group. They also make NORMA ammunition.
Their 357 hollow point is stout stuff. I would not hesitate to carry it for defense.

When I had my Model 19 4".357 Mag (back 1979...1985) the top choice for taget and long range shooting in my gun was the stout European Norma 158gr JSP cartridge, it was by far more powerful than Winchester and Remington ammo of the same weight in JSP!!!. Incredible penetration!!!!..
Days ago at the local range a guy was using GECO in his Bersa 9mmx19 caliber pistol, it was very ,very!!!, accurate at 25yds, and it sounded as a +P+ 9mm!!!! very powerful indeed, I was using with my son a Browning 9mm and my Beretta 92FS with Magtech and some reloads in 124gr the performance of this ammo was far back than the performance from the GECO, we also tested some borrowed cartridges with our pistols and so it was!!!
