Just ordered one of these from Primary Arms. They are on sale right now and I was wondering about others experience with that trigger, and this company?

I don't know about that particular model but there are quite a few people here who swear by Geissele.

I love mine. Way better than factory. I put one on my Windham 223 also and may put a SD-E on my Windham 308.

Only have one Geissele, forget which one...but it's great. My 10 is and will remain unmodified except for the Geissele it will also get.

Money very well spent.

I have an SSA-E and I really like it, Very crisp and light. Good for precision work or varmint shooting but a bit light for big game hunting or defensive work. I put an SSA in an M&P-10 and it works great. It's not as crisp as the SSA-E but it's heavier pull is better for hunting big game or defensive use

I have several SSA, and one SD-E (same as SSA-E except the bow is straight). They are all great triggers. The SD-E is in a M&P10. I plan on getting another SD-E for my DDM4 V11 S2W as soon as I save up. So many wants, so little money for my hobby.

Thanks for all the input. I will be using it for target and deer hunting, but my hunting will be from a solid blind with a good rest, not still hunting or jump shooting.

I have experience with both... Primary arms is a good company to deal with. Installing my trigger required that I remove and re-install the right side bolt release. A PIA but it all worked out. I believe this was mentioned somewhere else on the forum. I like the trigger, way better than the factory model. Two stage takes a little getting used to. I have a single stage CMC on my 300 AAC. I'll screw up when switching if I'm not careful.

This made me think about a Primary Arms 2 moa (new version) Micro dot that I purchased a little over a month ago. It's been in the safe the whole time. Went to put it on the extended mount and one of the four (required) screws on the original mount is missing. I'm going to P.A. tomorrow to see about that. Doesn't say much for them selling me a used and/or defective item. Someone has obviously had it apart and didn't put it all back together. Fortunately they're local so I can make eye contact when I deal with this. I may have an update regarding customer service afterwards. More to follow....

Stopped in today. I've had the item for about two months though it is as received and never mounted. They exchanged it for a new unit and threw in a spare battery, no questions asked.

I have it on mine. Love it. I'm not sure you could find a better trigger.

This might be a bit of a thread drift but what are people's experience with this trigger compared to say a Timiney or a CMC? They all seem to be about the same price over all but the latter two have the advantage of being more of a drop in module compared to Geissele.

I can't speak on the others, but my sea-level came in today and I would call it a simple drop in trigger. I did have to remove the right side bolt release, but that might have added 3 minutes to the job. Haven't had it to the range yet, but did tear the heck out of the big rock out back. I know I am going to enjoy it!

After using my SE for a while I have not had any issues. If I had it to do again, I'd go with a single stage. Just what I'm used to. I would go to a one piece drop in like a CMC or other but I believe the full power spring is probably a must for the '10'. The firing pin has a fairly stout spring that must be overcome. My .300 blk AR with a CMC trigger does not.

IMO the Geissele triggers are the best AR triggers on the market. I have the SSA-E installed on all my 556/223 semi's. They also have great customer service.

I have an SSA and an SSA-E. In the M&P-10, I prefer the SSA. In the precision AR, I prefer the SSA-E. For the HD ARs, I'm looking at going with the G2S

This thread inspired me. I had an SSA in the parts drawer for quite a while. My range is shut due to constant flooding over the last couple of months, so it might be a while before I get to take it out.

So now I'm done with the lower. The only thing left is to decide on a free floating hand guard.

I recently put a Geissele SSA-E in my brother in laws MP 10. He is a very happy camper now.
