LGS has a NIB M&P 9 Pro with 3 17rd mags for $515.00. Is this a good price?

It’s in-line with what the Pro Series CORE are going for online; however, I’d get a M2.0 for $400 and send it to ATEi for the RMR cut for that price.

2.0 FDE with 4.25" barrel was $659 with front night site. I really wanted the 5" barrel and that is the only one I have been able to find locally. No one has any 2.0 with 5" in stock and we have a number of local stores,

The Pro 5" 9mm comes set up for IDPA/SSP and USPSA Production no mods or additional cost required. I really like the 4# STOCK trigger on mine.

I have a pair of the 1.0, 5" pros in 9mm and 40. They have grown to be among my favorite "go to" range guns. Great shooters right out of the box.
As I recall, these were retailing well north of $600 when I bought mine years back.
You won't be disappointed!

I had a Pro and wasn't impressed with it, trigger wasn't any better than the regular M&P 4.25. I would get a 2.0 or a Pro CORE.

I also have a newer 5" pro CORE in addition to the two mentioned above. The CORE's trigger was good (considerably better than production) but very comparable to my early model 5" Pro 9mm. ( I bought the 40S&W used with a full APEX kit installed so that comparison can't be made. The Apex unit is better( particularly in reset) than the Pro models but it's not " Wow better" IMHO. Your experience with the specific gun you had may differ.

I had a regular M&P 9mm with the apex fss kit and the flat face trigger, can't beat that with any factory M&P pro or core.

The trigger on my 5" 2.0 is at 4lbs 4ounces from the factory, and has a much better reset than the Pro.

The Pro is a good gun, but it's a gen 1. I'd guess it won't be long until we see the 2.0 version. I think I'd wait for that, or buy a 2.0 FS.

M&P 9 PRO Range Trip

Shot my 9 PRO for the first time today. I had 1 FTF out of 100 rds. Otherwise ran great. I think I have found my new go to gun. Groups out to 15 yds were about 4" or a little more. Grip and feel are better than any of my other guns. Glad I bought it.

Pictures, we need pictures :D

Glad you like it.

They're nice just picked one up used. PITA to find holsters for $ as opposed to $$$. Safariland has a multifit GLS that works great for about $40. I like the Apex spring and a reduced power striker spring for competition. So long as it runs CCI primers 100% it's still useful as a carry gun too. I changed out the rear sight for a Warren Tactical. I was not a fan of the super long and tight rear that came stock.

I bit the bullet and ordered a Com-Tac International for $65. It should be here Monday. I have seen a lot of positive comments
about this holster. I'll let you know how I like it. I had trouble finding one for a 5" barrel.

I have a Safariland, Bladetech, and RCS for my 4¼" M&P. The Safariland is light capable and also stabilizes without the light. So many options for the standard. So few for the 5". The pro is narrower than the standard so the holsters are not interchangeable. If only these engineers could be troubled to design a stronger spring set, the slides could be the same profile.
