I have a generic AR15 that got some range time today and it finaly worked right. It is chambered in 12.7 x 42 and has been giving me fits on feeding, I tried several different magazines and finaly got some Alexander Arms mags (metal 10 round) and installed the single stack adapter in them and I get 9 consistent feeds. With the single stack adapter the magazine will not load with 10 rounds and the bolt closed, additionally that last round is a real bugger to put in the mag.

It is officially a valid range gun, since there isn't a lot of need for a 50 caliber ar other than hunting grizzly's, buffalo or watermelons.

It has less recoil than my Thompson Center Katana Pro Hunter in 460 S&W Magnum, tamed the pain with a slip on but pad for a shotgun. Seems accurate considering I'm using a red dot and can't see for squat past about 15 yards, I was mostly concerned with repeated firing not so much with accuracy.

I think most of the ammo I shot today was reloads that have been in and out of magazines for the last year so I lost track of what was in them. Probably 350 grain projectiles with about 40 grains of Lil Gun. Range visits are very limited, maybe only two more this year unless powder and primers become available, what I shot today would cost close to $2.00 per round to replace and I only have a few hundred left in the safe.

Glad you got your 50 running. I have a AA Beowulf that I have been shooting since it was introduced. I have taken several deer and a bunch of hogs with the round, very definitive results in the field.
I have always used AA mags and never worried about getting 10 rds stuffed into one. But it is a hoot to shoot 350 gr bullets out of a 16" AR. I shoot coated lead bullets for fun, Gold dot JHP's for game.
