Disney is really on a roll here. They just bought out Marvel not too long ago. You would think they have plans for something.

Perhaps Iron Man finds Luke's severed hand and starts to market scandium covered, Force powered, blade wielding clones. After all, he's the weapons merchant.
To be serious, Lucas originally envisioned three trilogies. Considering the gate receipts, someone was going to film the project(s). Now if they can only find a female script writer to make the women characters believeable. Of course, that never stopped them before.
The dialog has always sucked and we've seen CGI. Yet, we keeping going.
Well, good for old George! At least he doesn't have to worry about his social security checks now......he would be a fool if he gave up his Star Wars royalties though.

Seems to me the Star Wars brand peaked 20 years ago. Disney overpaid, but then they're swimming in cash.
The original Star Wars was simply an old story moved into space!
Basically a 1944 western that starred Gene Autrey as the good guy saving the girl from the bad guy...........
Same script - different location.........it has worked for decades in movies!!
Later versions of Star War movies got a little more complicated.......they all made loads of money!!! And, that is the mission of business.

Hmmm, you must not have been in the right "frame of mind" when you saw it.
I read somewhere that, when it came out, Star Wars broke all kinds of records. Records for snack bar sales that is. Seems that a large portion of the audience had an abnormal appetite when they went to see it. I think I had two jumbo popcorns, seven boxes of Junior Mints and four large Coca-Colas that day. But hey, I missed lunch.

I'd pay to never have to hear that wookie or ... gulp ... Jar Jar ever again! Doesn't Disney put things "in the vault" for a few years and re-release them (like Bambi)? WELD THE DOOR SHUT!

That's a lot of money to take from a reel Mickey Mouse company. Kind of a goofy deal, IMHO. I'll tell you this though, that George Lucas is no Dumbo!

I heard he sold out this year to avoid the big tax increase next year. With that many zeros, I guess that would be a consideration.
