Hi, I used to own a very high condition German Walther PP .22. I installed a MMC (Miniature Machine Company) adjustable sight on it. They are no longer produced. I sold the gun to a guy in town here many years ago. He said that he has never even fired it and said that he would sell it back to me. Trying to figure out what to offer. This was not an Interarms gun, it's German.

He is entitled to a profit on his investment right? offer him $100 over the original sales price.

Sorry, I'm no expert on the Walthers, but fair is fair right?

If you are looking for a fair value for the seller, I would guess $700-800. For a personal value (meaning what he might expect), knowing how much you sold it for and how long ago would help.

I have a similar pistol. From what I've gathered, mine is a PPK/S and was made at Manurhin in France and proofed there at the St. Etienne proofhouse. It was probably proofed in 1978-80.

I read this about the sights: "Skeeter Skelton convinced a company called MMC (Miniature Machine Company) out of Arizona to make up an adjustable sight for his then new PPK/s in .22. In the 72 time frame and they were selling as many as they could make."

I can't remember what I have in mine, but I wanted it purely because of the MMC sights.

Jeff Cooper once said the the .22 Walther PP was his favorite trail gun. He said his shot groups like a target pistol. I have a Bersa Thunder .22 which is an inexpensive copy of a Walther PP and I love it but I would much rather have the vintage Walther.

I've had a couple post war jobs. Wasn't impressed by them. Know a WW2 vet that has a pre war model and difference is night and day. I ran through a couple dozen 32 frame 22 pistols looking for perfect EDC 22 pistol that would match a m34 for accuracy. You name it and I had it. Bought several new and would have went in the hole but the deals on used ones broke me even. Didn't arrive at a winner in that class.Ended up with S&W 422 in 4" target model. * this 22 EDC was not geared at SD, it was for ease of carry for practical accuracy while going about daily routine when you have need to put a hole in something. Everyday occurrence in these parts.
