getting a grip on the real grips

just acquired a factory engraved model 60, with jinks letter which dates the gun to February 1970.
I am trying to find the correct wooden grips for it.
in an e-mail roy jinks says the grips should be checkered without the diamond pattern around the screw hole.
also, my local ffl dealer says he thinks the grips had the serial number of the gun written on the inside of them.
anyone know anything about this?
anyone know where I could find a pair of 1970 model 60 grips?

Look on ebay for S&W j frame round butt magnas (unless yours has a square butt frame).
