Custom barrels are what comp shooters go for to get the best accuracy, but unless you shoot for a living and have perfect ammo, you will not see the difference. I have stock 66's that can shoot 1" groups at 25 yards with cheap ammo. How much improvement could a new barrel give me over that? Maybe 1/4 inch?Thanks for all the info so far...I am hearing some really good ideas and thoughts. I understand and agree completely about ammo and shooters so lets assume we already have the most accurate possible ammo and are shooting from a Ransom rest so the shooter or human element is gone. Remember, time and money is no object...you just have to end up with the most accurate your revolver can be.
