I read a post the other day where someone said that they are getting out of shooting because it's just too much trouble with the laws, shortages and everything.

That is EXACTLY how 'THEY' want us to feel!!!

Do not give in to the gun grabbers. The more they can effectively discourage us from our pastime, the more success they have that they DON'T EVEN HAVE TO GET VOTED INTO LAW! (Pardon my 'shouting' but this needs to be shouted from the rooftops)

He may be a skilled reader and only typing what someone else told him others should believe about him?

Nothing in what's typed/said need be true, but only what he believes many want to see for his own benefit.

Maybe not? Just a thought....

It may best all the boating accidents that's taken so many firearms to the bottom of the sea in the last few years?

Short of a significant awakening in the United States of America, they will win in the long run. History is against us.

Not me. I ticked off two liberals this week, bought a gun case and Colt Agent.

Ticked off "Liberals"

Wait till July when Mississippi goes "Open Carry" and all the Red Necks strap on them guns and go to Walmart and Winn Dixie.

Dispatch will be humming with all them calls coming in about a man with a gun walking around the parking lots.

I haven't see any laws stopping people from drinking and carrying at picnics or outdoor festivals.

I can just see "Hey Bubba look at my new 357" then BAM!!!!! one Accidental Discharge.

If you give it up that easily you never loved it in the first place. I heard tennis rackets are on sale this week at Dick's if anybody is interested.

I will give up shooting when my health gets so bad I can't enjoy it anymore. I hope and pray that specific day does NOT come any time soon.

All the talk about ammo shortages, gun laws, etc. has the opposite effect on me. I just go out and buy another gun or two. It's even better if a liberal is standing there by the counter watching me do it, too. If they're going to "talk smack" about guns to me, I'll just rub their liberal noses in it by stocking up even more....smiling all the time while I'm doing it.:D

The progressive's goal to make every aspect of being any kind of gun owner as hard and as expensive as possible. They think we will ultimately all bring our guns to the smelting pots.

The only flaw in their plan is that they have grossly underestimated the resolve of the American spirit and our unwavering belief in the principles of the US Constitution.

Hang tough and let them take their best shot.

I suspect most of us will stop whenever we're just too feeble. But, ever more restrictive firearms laws will, and are meant to, discourage current and future firearms owners. I applaud you firearms owners in states that have the convoluted laws regarding firearms acquisition, features, ownership, transportation and use. I don't know if I'd have your tenacity. I hear a lot about " vote them out" as regards anti-gun politicians in New York, California, Colorado, Maryland and other states. Unfortunately, I don't think these politicians will ever be voted out to any significant degree. In most of these states, I believe they will be congratulated for passing new gun laws to keep their citizens "safe", and be re-elected. The Liberals/"Progressives" see elimination of the "Gun Culture" in all it's forms as one of their highest priorities. As we have already seen, no, or a negative effect on violent crime, loss of jobs and revenue matters little, if at all. It is an ever more prevalent mindset among a growing percentgae of the population, IMHO...

I've had 3 major, life-long passions in my years. Fishing, motorcycles and guns. I gave up motorcycles because I don't live where it is safe to ride, I have all but stopped fishing due to health reason and reduced limits and increased costs.

but I'll be doggoned if I'll let a bunch of liberal idiots make me turn my back on shooting. I have developed an ability to exhibit extreme patience when it's called for. I can wait out the silliness. I've slowed down some to conserve my stash but I have not and WILL NOT quit. If and when things normalize I plan on returning to shooting on a once a week basis or more. I intend for the my last act of recreation to be pulling the trigger on my Lew Horton 24-3. I won't speculate on what might be in my sight picture. I ain't backin' down. I ain't givin' up. I ain't quittin' and I ain't goin' away.

Just like Arnie.....AAAHHHL BE BOCK!

invite them along

The last time someone told me I couldn't or shouldn't, I doubled down and smiled at them.

we all need to ramp up our efforts to get folks who are anti-gun out to the range.

Reminds me of the gal in line at the quickie mart - commenting on the number of calories in my choice of beverage as she buys a pack of cigarettes. Hadn't had my caffeine that day yet cause I didn't think till later that after her remark regarding calories I should have said, "yeah, you're right, I should get two"

Please tell me where this individual lives. Maybe I can buy him out at fire sale prices before one of you spoil sports changes his mind. In all seriousness though if I lived someplace like New Jersey I could see how someone might feel this way. Not saying I agree but I can understand.

Oh hell no! I'll still be bustin' caps as long as I'm vertical. I may have to mount something on a scooter from the scooter store or on a "hurri-cane" but I've got too much ammo to stop now. I may even form my own scooter store precision shooter drill team if I have to.

I only see it as a problem if YOU HAVE TO shoot a lot everyday. Personally i have no problem doing other none gun related things.

I've always been....

I've always been a middle-of-the-road kind of guy that could see both sides of the fence in any issue and I could swing either way as I saw fit. I've NEVER been as polarized on a subject as much as I am on the 2A now.
