Ghost orbs

My two trail cams are running 24/7 in the woods. We took the card out of it. We seen plenty of deer but we caught a white orb up in the tree, the next shot it’s closer to the ground. I have spirit ghosts on my land outside. I can’t seem to post pics from my putter on here.

Bill— It’s called “backscatter” or near-camera reflection. This is an optical illusion due to the camera's flash being reflected from unfocused motes of dust, water droplets, or other particles in the air or water. It is especially common with small digital cameras like you have with Trail/Game cameras.

I get the craziest ones from high-humidity, foggy, damp days because the IR flash reflects from the water molecules floating in the air.

I’ll look again. This was at night in the pitch black dark. I’ve captured orbs before in dudleytown. I used 400 film in my camera

...they've been there a lo-o-oooong time. I doubt that you would have a chance in court of getting them evicted, so if they aren't bothering you, it's best to let them be.

This is old farm land and my road is an old wagon trail. Down my road there’s an old inn where stage coach riders stayed overnight. On my land there’s an old bent L shaped tree they used to mark trails. Who knows who was killed out there.

When I was loggin in the state forest I can across large piles of stones on one side of a hill. There must of been 12+ piles all the same height and length. All parallel with each other. I been told Native American Indians were there. The logger before me quit. I seen things but won’t go into details I did finish the job but with respect.

i had many experiences with orbs in 1985.Fitst appearing as a large ball of blueish light, when i saw it is reduced in size. It then moved onto a wall and moved in a very erratic pattern,going to the floor and rolling out the wall.For the next 2 months,when i woke up and threw my blanket off,i would get a glimpse of it. It would be the size of a quarter,and on the underside of my blanket. I saw it many times.This is a short version of my experiences with orbs. They are real,but most photos of them are lens flare. They do not like to be seen. The impression i got of mine was that it had come as protection during a difficult time in my life

It was just before Sunrise, I was headed for a little Duck Shooting.
It appeared to be several feet in diameter, was glowing, bouncing and rolling toward me across an open field.
Yes I ducked down and loaded my 12 Ga.
Then I cautiously looked over the ditch bank I ducked behind.
It was gone!

My wife is a big believer in this type of thing. I don't argue. There's more to this life than what we can see.

I live near the old town of St Augustine, Fl and we go there often for dinner and entertainment on a regular basis.

When we are out and about downtown, we take snapshots and we get images of orbs floating about in the background.

However when we take pictures in the old downtown cemetery, the orb count goes sky high.

Why, I don't know, but something is there causing the spike in orb activity in this area of the deceased.

Just something else that makes me go Hmmmmm?

That’s a classic example of backscatter—floating dust. The light and camera lens catches the dust particle and it reflects as an orb.

Not exactly orbs but perhaps caused by a similar lens flare you have described.

Dave I think that is a Bush or branch that got right in front of the lens. I have gotten several similar pictures when I knew the ground was clear in front of the camera. I finally figured out leaves and branches were falling from above and triggering the camera. They simply won’t focus close up and the IR flash simply whites out what is directly in front.

Post no trespassing signs and normally the spooks leave. Normally they are more well behaved than non spooks

Yes, I think you are correct. Maybe it was a breezy night as well. The image seems to move since the background remains static in the 2 pictures. That's what made it a little spooky.

I won't offend those that do believe in whatever they believe, its not right. At the same time I believe everything can be proved scientifically, hands down. I have gone out of my way to prove myself wrong, been to places supposed to be haunted, talked to believers including my wife that swear they saw what they saw. The human mind is an amazing thing and the imagination can only be interpreted so far. I've heard things that got me up at night while staying in a "haunted" place and took hours to finally explain, something as simple as a furnace air damper out of adjustment making a thumping sound. Stories from the old days are just that, stories...There are natural circumstances that explain why entire communities saw things due to a natural form of L.S.D. that occurs when certain grains like rye get a mold on them.
My wife tells me the reason I don't see things is because I am close minded and don't believe. Fine

Seriously, I have learned long ago never to discount people’s beliefs and accounts of things. The public was told for YEARS by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission biologists that there were no mountain lions in Arkansas and the howls we were hearing, the tracks we were seeing were the result of folks drinking too much moonshine and smoking too much laughing lettuce.

A hunter I know finally shot one from his deer stand and dropped it on the desk of the game warden who had told him to lay off the Ozark Mountain tanglefoot.

Then a soccer mom hit one with her van on the way to an early morning tournament. Then they started showing up on trail cams.

Then the biologists held a meeting to announce the “return” of Mountain Lions to Arkansas!

I hope we humans never get everything figured out. I like some wonder and mystery in the world. Reality is hard enough, it doesn’t hurt to dream and imagine a bit.

The many orbs I caught while visiting dudleytown in ct. is real. I caught many orbs in the same picture. My visits go like this. We went there the night before at 10 pm to see if my directions were right to go there the next day. There was an over head sign and we went there the next day. At the enterance we walked in and came to old foundations. I shot pictures. I put down a sound recorder. We walked around the place. Very quiet, no birds no animal tracks. Nothing. The film showed orbs all around us. Search for dudleytown it’s true.

I had my 1911 and three mags with me.

My son installed a new home surveillance system that is hooked up to his I-Phone. He had a couple cameras around his house, a few in the house, one in the garage. He was working the bugs out like it alarmed him when his doorway flag would flap in the breeze, etc. We were working in my shop and his phone went off warning him something was wrong. He stopped and looked at his phone and said "Dad, take a look at this..." I went over and out in his garage he camera was picking up what looked like orbs floating about in the shop. I said "Dust motes, your camera is picking up dust motes, turn down your sensitivity." Thats what it was...dust motes floating across in front of the lens. I had a nest of baby spiders hatch out behind the cover of one of my shop cameras, set off the alarm while I was away and cost me $50 for a false alarm.
