Gidday All. I've just joined up tonight. I got onto pistol shooting about 12 months ago & that takes up most weekends now. Due to the gun laws in Oz I can only own one handgun for the first six months after my licence is issued so I've been shooting a 2206 that I brought through a bloke at the club but tomorrow my new baby arrives. I have purchased a 686SSR as my second handgun. I brought it from pictures so I haven't seen or held one in the flesh but I did a heap of reading & I couldn't find a bad word said about this little sweetie. I cant wait to get it to the range on Saturday. Giddy Up.:)

Greetings from Northwest Georgia. Glad to have you with us!

I know you'll love that 686SSR! I've been looking at one myself.

Welcome from Texas Bongosbitz. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Always nice to have a new member of the S&W family check in from Down Under.

Sucks regarding your gun laws. If you cannot trust your citizens there is something wrong with the government.

****'ok Mate, welcome from Alabama. I spent some time with the blokes from 1st Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), B Co, outside of Bien Hoa, Vet-Nam in 1966. They ran a great "Piss Tent" with plenty of great Aussie beer. I learned one trick from them....... DON'T turn your bloody glass over at the bar unless you want a donnyblicker. All in good fun but it was a surprise. I "borrowed" an American 6x6 truck, loaded up some mates in the back, covered them with laundry bags, and took them to a Whore House in Bien Hoa City. I watched the weapons while they had a party with the girls.

Greetings from Norcross, Georgia, Usa. Sorry you have to contend with such gun control laws. Just remember; real gun control is 3 in the 10-ring at 800 yards. Good shootin' brother.
