We have a customer who comes in the shop at least once, and usually twice a day. In the ten months I have worked, he has bought at least 15 guns. Within the last month he has bought a Kimber 1911 and a Colt Commander, so he ain't buying High Points and Rossis. He is one of the most interesting people I have ever talked to. He has "been there and done that," and his stories have the ring of truth to them.
He knows I am a S&W fan, and he is too. I bought (from the shop) a 651 .22 magnum he traded.
Anyhow, last Monday he came in and told me, "I've got something for you!" He reached in his pocket and handed me a set of diamond magna grips. I asked him what he wanted for them. "Nothing. I was going through a box last night and found them. I knew you probably have something they'll look good on."
I again offered to pay him, but he wouldn't let me. A pretty nice gesture, I thought.
