Glad I got my 15-22

Like the thread title says more the glad I got my 15-22 when I did. Been just window shopping online ya know at other rifles, mostly .22's since my wife says she wants one now (after shooting mine of course, and she grapped and grapped about it...). I see some 15-22's come up and they are asking 100-300 more then I spent so looks like no 15-22 for her... maybe I can pick up a good ol used ruger for her I suppose. Just crazy though how much this craze has over shot prices.. seeing any kind of rifle adding a few 100 to doubling to tripling its price... just insane.

I have a Ruger 10-22 MOE and I paid top dollar for it at $600 but it actually was part of a trade so I probably have a less in it. I bought a new Ruger 10/22 last night for $248 out the door at Walmart with Brenda's 10% discount. It's stainless and the blued version was $20 cheaper and I ordered a magpul stock just like the one on the 15-22 for $93 and I will set it up the same as my 15-22.

Just saying that's another option for around $350.

I've got the same problem as you turdducken. my wife is one of these " i dont care how many guns you own or what u buy for the guns as long as you are happy". dont get me wrong this is a great quality for the wife to have but i could not get her to shoot any of my guns. well i picked up this 15-22 to add to my collection, and she wont put it down. i now have a 15-22 pink platinum ordered for her thru my LGS. as much as it hurt me to get the pink one, i dont care as long as she is getting into it. haha

That must be one of those really really really nice ones. Good for her..Don't forget they need a nice case too... I have seen some very nice skeet over and unders with some fantastic wood. Those people love their shotguns like we like our MSR's.

Oh she is good at the moment has a .380 p3at.. but she was afraid of shooting when she saw me firing off my old mosin nagant. Had the stipulation that all rifles had a big ol kick like that one or a like a 12 gauge shotgun running slugs. After she saw me shoot it she was like hey that thing doesnt look to bad. Now its when can we go to the range and when can I get mine? Im like uhhhh first ammo.. second lets do some budgeting on the check book lol.

Nuttin' wrong with that. She gets good enough,they give out some nice prizes. Been some years back. But a friend of mines wife won an 870 Wing Master all decked out.
