I was at LGS yesterday being helped by a S&W Collector member. I had recently restarted into Smiths after selling 2 that were just not for me...beautiful, shiny but did not work out for me. A 66 no dash and nickel 39. I was used to the other brand, the "C" brand, my wife's favorites. The brand she came into our marriage with and I had never ever shot anything. But that was decades ago.

Anyway, he was talking to me about the K-38 '67 vintage I had bought and said I was really going to get hooked and I should join here. So I am following his advice.

Thanks in advance to all who share info and make this forum what it is.

Howdy from Texas and welcome aboard. This could prove to be costly if you follow us closely. Just one more is our central theme.

Welcome aboard from the great state of Pennsylvania!

Thank you all. Yes, I know the "C" word can be 4 letters to some. But I find good in each. LOL. However don't ask me about the "T" and "R" words when it comes to 22's. Biginge is right, this can prove costly but I have total enjoyment from those costs. My used 41 beats the pants off of any "R" branded 22 I had. And, I never understood the magic of an older Smith until I got to handle one. Yes, this could be costly.

Welcome aboard! You'll find it hard to resist adding "just one more" to any S&W collection. Generally speaking, they're well engineered works of art.

Adding "just one more" is like eating only one potato chip I have learned. I am halfway through the bag already. I appreciate the available info here so I can determine when pricing is fair or more than fair. Whether you realize it or not, you all help protect others from sellers or even themselves.

Welcome from Texas RevolverCPA. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.
