Glock 43--single stack nine

The Shield holds more rounds. The Glock 43 holds 6+1. The Shield holds 7+1 or 8+1 depending on the magazine.

I know, I know, but I prefer a 380 in that sized gun. I will be looking out for a used Glock 42

Hmm. I will wait and let the public Beta test it. Seems like anything designed nowadays doesn't have some sort of problem that the engineers missed or, usually, failed to foresee. And that's no slam at any Engineer, engineering is a tricky business even for the best of them. So, I wait and see.
And after Glock debugs it further(They do a good job of Alpha testing their products, Herr Glock demands it, and I agree w/ him.) and G43's are running w/o any problems, then I might get one.
But first on the list? No, I'm afraid not. Of course, YMMV, as always.

As mentioned in the other G43 threads (in the 'Other Brands' sub-forum), I'll pass judgement when I get to actually shoot one.

If it shoots just as smoothly as the G26 and G42, I may need to get one.
Also... The primary reason for getting the Shield was for front pocket carry. This would also be the only reason for getting a G43. If I can't front pocket the G43, I'll pass. I don't need a single-stack for IWB carry.

Oh wait..... eh, don't need one. ;)

I had ordered a Shield, will be picking it up next week, when Glock came out with the 43. I had heard such good things about the Shield and had fired one and liked it. I ordered a holster and some spare magazines as well and hope to have a nice slim carry package when I get it picked up.

With that said, I also have some experience with a Glock 17 and have owned a 26 for about 15 years. Like both of them for their intended purpose.

Ordered a 43 the other day and while it may be a month or so before I get it, I am excited to have both.

After all I have had more than one J Frame and K Frame for years!

Beautiful yes but not my choice for a pocket pistol. Still not comfortable with a cocked & locked pistol in my pocket. Even in the best holster.

Not comfortable with a gun with an engaged manual safety, a heavy-ish CCW trigger, AND a firing pin safety?

Okay. Whatever makes you happy.

That SIG P938 is beautiful - a word that has never been used to describe any Glock.
I don't remember the last time my pistol purchase was based on looks.
I guess you could say that Glock is the D.U.F.F. (look it up) of firearms. :)

I dunno... cocked & locked in a pocket holster seems better than Appendix. Pointing down the leg, as opposed to pointing at... :D

The Shield holds more rounds. The Glock 43 holds 6+1. The Shield holds 7+1 or 8+1 depending on the magazine.

The Ruger LC9S holds 7 plus1 or 9 plus 1. Has a better trigger than both and has a steel sights metal trigger. IMO it is a superior hand gun
