Glock 48 vs S&W 39xx series

After having the chance to handle a G48, am I the only one seeing the similarity between it and the 39xx series (for me a 3953)?

Tell me I’m crazy, you wouldn’t be the first.

Have you held one yet?

To me it felt very similar (at least in my hand) and looks to be about the same general size (height, wideth, length), perhaps the G48 just a little bit longer.

Again, perhaps it was just me.

No, have not. I have looked at them and wondered “why?” since the two-tone finish seems “unGlockish” to my eyes. Having robbed the piggy bank recently to buy an M17 “Bravo”, I had no intention to purchase so didn’t ask to handle.

I’ve owned, and carried a 3953 since 1991, and when I handled the G48 I have to tell you it felt very familiar, and from what I can tell about the size, I believe it is very close to the 39xx series.

I really think I’ll be getting one.

I am no Glockophile but would like to read your impressions when you do. “New” gun’s are fun! - even if there’s not a whole lot new about them.
