California is absolutely gorgeous. Get out into the mountains.. Drive up 395 from Mojave to Tahoe through Lone Pine and Bishop… Mono Lake.
Go to Borrego Springs or Joshua Tree, Yosemite, Lake Isabella..,Sequoias…, take your old pinned and recessed Smith & Wesson and shoot out in the desert.
That’s what California is about.
Don’t worry about the politics. Politics are for the city.. the cities are where the people are.
More people means more rules.
Get out into the sticks and into the desert and no one cares what you’re doing.
Those are the places to go.
I do not care for cities or plastic guns anyway.

You are absolutely correct, it is beautiful. Years ago when there was less government and more law and order you could camp in Modoc county and never see anyone for a week. I deer hunted up there for years but it was hundreds of miles and 8 hours to get there. Go on You Tube and watch the videos of Calif , Utah and Nev. showing the destruction and trashing of the west by freeloading homeless squatters living in discarded junk trailers or shacks in formerly pristine state and federal land. The video makers are afraid to even be in the vicinity of these drugged out freeloaders. That is what is happening. With little or no law enforcement, our public land is being taken from everyone. The modern culture is drive to a place, fill up the parking lot, pay all the fees, get the family out of the cars for pictures and then leave. Guns, shooting rugged camping are pretty much all gone.

I’m not sure if it’s the air (smog?) or the water out there, but something softens people up between the ears if they spend much time there. Yes. I have two of them in the safe. They were delivered with no instructions. (This was all pre google or youtube). They didnt tell you that you had to change out all the other parts in the gun. Honestly it is worthless and a bit of a scam.

AFAIK you are still correct. There may be some models that would be difficult or even impossible to modify like that but SO WHAT? The more that get modified like that the better, they have just made that firearm basically useless for anything but making noise and scaring people. After the first aimed round goes off, the rest go everywhere but where intended..

Maybe with some serious fiddling, you could create an electronically fired revolver. Finding electrically fired pistol ammunition might be the biggest hangup. Add a small electric motor with a belt to rotate the cylinder, modify the trigger to turn on the motor and activate the firing device.... My mind things of so much stuff when I'm at work.. I should stop now.

AB1127 would, if passed in its current form, BAN the sale of Glock pistols in the formerly great state of California. The bill, which does not mention Glock by name, would declare that any semi-automatic pistol designed like a Glock and that can be easily converted to fire fully automatically would not longer be legal for sale in CA. The bill passed overwhelmingly in the Assembly. CA has a Democrat super-majority in both houses of the legislature and all constitutional officers are also Democrat. Governor Gavin Newsom personally hates guns and gun owners and will certainly sign the bill into law if it gets to his desk.

Well, this goes along with my old saying about CA: "What ain't fruits and nuts are flakes!"

I struggle to find any value in a full auto pistol. I would really like to see someone's target shooting in that mode.

It's not about shooting the target, it's about being the baddest bad guy on the block and instilling the most fear in the general population and LE. Spray a crowd with a member of another gang in it with causing multiple collateral casualties? No problem, "Nuthin personal. It's just bidness".
