Glock or Springfield XD ?

I go to alot of gun shows in a 125 mile radius of Clinton, there is this man and wife that are always there selling stuff, they sell new Hi-points, must have 20-30 of them on their tables.
No one, and I say no one ever looks at their guns:D
So, are they junk for 250 bucks?

For all their shortcomings I've heard pretty decent reviews. If you need something that fires a bullet they fit the bill. I'm going to pick one up to experiment with. Should be fun.

I use my 5 inch XD 45 for my bump in the night gun. Especially when I have to go down to the barn in the dark.

Functions with any ammo I feed it.

Love the grip safety, the loaded chamber indicator, and the cocked indicator. Easy to run your finger over the top of the slide and down the back. Even in the dark, you know you are good to go.

Can't find any reason not to like this pistol.

I have 3 XD's 9, 40(sub compacts) and 45 and 1 Glock (19). I much prefer the XD full size 45 to my SW MP 45. I shoot better with the XD and therefore perceive it to be more accurate. The only think I do not like about any XD is the tiny little standard 3 dot sights. If they get a bit dirty they are almost gone. I have put a drop of high gloss white paint with a tooth pick on them all.

They are all good, get the one you like and feels best to you.

always go glock.......throw it from a helicopter into a mudhole then run over it with your jeep while looking for it, when you find it, pick it up and shake the mud out and i bet you your life that it will fire

I've owned and shot both. Both are good guns, but I sold my Glock 21 and now have two .45 SA XDs. I really liked the Glock, except that it was just too big for my hand, even the new 21SF is still too big. The XDs fit so much better. I also like the steel mags for the XD better than the plastic Glock ones, they drop right out, whereas even the Glock 'drop free" mags sometimes don't. There are also .45 XDs available with thumb safeties, if you want them.

XD likes: Feel, trigger, steel magazine, grip safety.

Glock likes: Low profile, famous durability, many after-market parts.

XD dislikes: Hole in the back of the slide.

Glock dislikes: Grip angle, plastic front sight
I'll 2nd this and say either one will be great. I have both and like them both. I carry my glock .45 everyday and know that it will fire when I pull the trigger.
