Go For a Walk....

Thanks, Phil, for sharing the photos of "your" park. It's a beauty and your posting is timely, for sure. With some of the programing on TV this week, emails from friends, and posts on forums such as this, many of us will certainly pause to reflect the meaning of Veterans Day. I know in our little town of 1,600, many will gather a the small Veteran's Plaza at the County Seat campus. There, we'll raise each Service flag and the POW-MIA flag. A few brief speeches, hugs, salutes and handshakes. Doesn't seem like much to the outside observer but it's everything to those who attend. My thanks and sincere appreciate to all of you on this forum who have served!

They forget the National Guard? Or maybe I missed it?

Very nice park though.

I think there are probably so many little monuments that it would be hard to photograph them all and not miss a few. I thought about the National Guard as well as the Coast Guard and some wars that weren't refered to but that is a fantastic park and I thank ChatanoogaPhil for sharing it with us.

Thank you. Wonderful park to pay tribute to our military.

Phil,
This old veteran thanks you for the time and effort it took to bring us these beautiful pictures. You do as well with a camera as you do with a firearm.

You're welcome. Glad y'all enjoyed the walk.

Only a few miles from my home, Phil. My wife and I really enjoy going there.

If you see this vicious beast at the park, I'll be the guy on the other end of the leash. Hope to see you sometime.
