Going for the M&P sport.

Thanks for all the input. My first AR will be the sport, with a Nikon 223 scope.Targets and varmints be afraid.One question,Breaking it in? any advice?

Congrats on choosing a 15-Sport! This break in question thread should be interesting. All I did was shoot a mag, pull a Boresnake down the bore three times, the kept on shooting. Others advocate a stringent break in shoot one round, clean, shoot one round, clean, shoot one round, clean, shoot three rounds, clean...etc.

No special break in here. Open box,clean/oil gun and go shoot. My rifle is still just as accurate thousands of rounds later as it was day one. Break in to me is measured in round counts and tolerances, not specific cleaning procedures. Congratulations on your new rifle.

Ditto what Red Dragon said. Just give it a cleaning, go shoot it, enjoy it, rinse and repeat.

Ditto again. Clean and oil, then shoot it. It isn't a target rifle, so no break in voodoo required.
