Going price for 29-2

Here goes a stupid question I noticed when members are discribing their guns say like a model 29-2 what does that -2 mean after the model number?

I just purchased off another gun forum a 29-2 circa 1980 for $450 shipped. Not like new with slight bluing wear along one side of the barrel. It came with K frame grips on it.

Will have to find me some target N's. Anybody?????
Doesn't look like it has been shot all that much in my observance of the rifling and recoil shield.
All in all for my use intended I'm quite pleased with the deal.
