Going Tactical?

I seem to be going "tactical." It wasn't something I planned but seems to have started when I got my first AR. Then I got another AR, a coupla Glocks, another AR, AR accessories, triggers, butt stocks, uppers, optics, etc....
Lately, I've been getting "tactical" sling bags. I even replaced my conventional gym bag with a "tactical" sling bag.
At least in the midst of getting all this "tactical" gear, I got myself a blued steel 1911 with wood grip panels.

When I think I'm buying too much "tactical" stuff, I restore balance to the universe by buying a revolver. I think you just may have to tip the scale by getting a single action revolver. Or two double actions. Either or.

Funny you should mention that. I've been thinking of ordering a Pietta 1858 New Model Black Powder .36 caliber revolver and a .38 Special conversion cylinder.

Going Tactical with your choice of rifles is ok, but don't be that guy that wears a bunch of tactical camo with tactical stuff hanging off you just to go to the gun store & look "cool" like a Junior GI Joe! Those guys kinda make me like my blue jeans & a clean tee shirt and tennishoes even more!
They look like nice rifles.

I've got a lot of "tactical" stuff (holsters, a couple backpacks, etc.), and I've got lights on many of my guns. Over the last few years, I've found that quite often tactical = practical. But I'm not the kind of guy who wears "tactical" clothing...unless you consider cargo shorts to be in that category.

I like the sound of the word tactical.

The 3 levels of my gun hobby journey is tactical (prepping for a self-defense event), practical (acquiring, training, practice with portable hole-punching tools), and gray man (Craftsman and DeWalt range bags, pay cash for ammo and firearms, no anything 2A clothes or hats, no flashy behavior, situational awareness).

I prefer being a gray man.
